The Journey Network exists to reach out to the people, contexts, and cities we can’t reach from the main campus of Journey Christian Church.  Extending the Leadership, Evangelism, and Discipleship of the core of our church into Site-Extensions, this network of sites provides access to people who might not otherwise be able to participate in the ministry of Christ’s grace through Journey.

 Launching sites both in New Orleans and other cities, participants in Network sites are a part of the whole Journey family, and the “Site Pastors” work under the direction and empowerment of Pastor John and the main campus staff.

“The Journey Network allows us to reach out to people we couldn’t otherwise reach from our campus,” says Senior Pastor John Franklin, “giving us the opportunity to increase the preaching, teaching, and discussion of the grace of Christ, as well as the opportunity to invest in and train the next generation of ministers who fill their roles as ‘Site Pastors’.”

Network Sites participate in the whole body by engaging the Sermons through streaming video, using the same curricula being used at the main campus for Journeytown and Life Seminars, receiving Worship Training and Pastoral Leadership, and taking part in the Community Groups of the main campus (for New Orleans sites).  On key holidays, for special celebrations, outreach efforts, camps, and retreats, all the sites come together to work as one body in Christ.

Here at Journey, you'll find the intimacy of a small church, the benefits of a large congregation, and the foundation of years of experience both at this site, and from the main campus at Journey Christian Church in New Orleans!

As a Site-Extension of Journey, local leadership and the whole Journey Christian family join together to reach out with the grace of Jesus Christ to all who seek Him.  You'll find the intimate expression of the super-structure of the Journey family of ministries, including "Journeytown", the Children's Ministry of Journey Christian, the Journey Men's Corps, La Nouvelle Women's Ministry, Journey Community Groups, Journey Seminars for Adults, Weekly Communion, Youth Ministry, Fellowship, and more.

This is your church!  All of the special events of the main campus extend to you, your family, and your friends; including retreats, ski trips, camps, fellowships, and the direct personal accessibility of the ministers. From New Orleans to Bay St. Louis, and with sites developing in cities across the South, the Journey Christian Family extends to your personal, accessible context!  You'll have video feed of Pastor John's sermons every Sunday, can listen to them via podcast from the convenience of your own life and schedule, and then come together to watch, listen, fellowship and grow together as a part of the whole Journey family!

Journey Christian Church

Journey is passionately involved in missions at the local, national, and international levels.

Once a month, you'll find Saturday morning fellowships during which we gather to prepare food for the homeless.  Led by Mary Gordon, this group meets at the church, prepares breakfast tacos for the local homeless, and after meeting together to discuss what God is changing in our own lives through the Bible, we go out to distribute "Paper Bag Breakfasts".

Also, Journey participates in national and international missions through the Cooperative Program.  This missions agency maintains a 3-4% overhead standard, and a cooperative of like minded churches.  Thus, we can be confident that the missions dollars applied have the most impact possible in proclaiming the cross of Christ!
