Ministries
Since Journey first started, we have been working on a strategy to help us fulfill our mission. Like most churches, we have worship, children’s and youth ministry, small groups, outreach events, etc. But we have also gone the next step to look at an overall church strategy that helps us ask the question, “Why?” Why do we offer some ministries and not others? How do all of our ministries fit together? What does the Bible say about how we should be "Doing Church"?
Our philosophy of ministry causes us to take a bold and serious look at the ancient designs for the church, and adjust our methods to fit God's template.
Our precept for ministry is, simply put, Biblical; embracing the ancient, clear teachings of the Word of God and seeing them naturally address modern culture and contemporary problems. God’s Word provides a clear, foundational approach for following Him and reaching out with the Grace of Christ; loving God first, and seeing that love overflow to the people around us. That's what our ministries are all about.
